David J. Wayland, O.D.,P.C.

Dr. David J. Wayland is a 1993 graduate of the University of Georgia with a bachelor of science degree in biology pre-med. He completed his medical training in 1997 at the Southern College of Optometry in Memphis Tennessee. His training and internships focused on ocular disease, pediatric optometry, contact lens and primary care. He has been in independent and private practice in the north Atlanta area since graduation. A native of Alpharetta and graduate of Milton High School, Dr. Wayland is an active member of the Alpharetta Chamber of Commerce, Georgia Optometric Association, and Birmingham United Methodist Church. Dr. Wayland is married to Kelly and has three children, Jackson (10), Lindsay (6), and Evan (3). In his spare time Dr. Wayland enjoys golf, coaching youth league sports, and spending time with his family on the lake.



Chad C. Ferdon, O.D.,P.C.

Dr. Ferdon is a University of Georgia graduate (1995), and a Nova Southeastern School of Optometry (University of Miami)Graduate (1999). He has practiced in the North Atlanta area since earning his Doctor of Optometry. Dr. Ferdon is married to Cori and has two daughters, Hannah (4) and Charlotte (2). He is a member of Roswell United Methodist Church, and in his spare time enjoys golf, working out, and spending time with his family.



Brian G. Shipley, O.D.,P.C.

Dr. Shipley was born in Bowling Green, Ohio but was moved to Rome,Georgia at the age of 6. He earned his undergraduate degree in Biology from Oglethorpe University, in Atlanta, where he received an academic scholarship and was recruited to play baseball. Following graduation, he enrolled at the Southern College of Optometry, in Memphis, TN, in 2000 and graduated with Cum Laude honors in 2004 and was awarded the 4th year Outstanding Clinician Award for the 2004 class. He was a 4 year member of Beta Sigma Kappa, the international optometric honor society, and was elected to Who's Who among American Colleges and Universities. Dr. Shipley enjoys the outdoors, anything Ohio State (particularly football), golf, exercise, and spending time with his family. Brian, his wife, and two daughters are members of Birmingham United Methodist Church and reside in Canton. Dr. Shipley sees patients at the Canton office Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesdays, and the Woodstock office on Thursday and Saturdays.
